Bioluminescent Mushroom

Bioluminescent mushroom walk down our path of illuminated mushrooms.  We educate the public on this unique fungi and walk at night to take in its unusual beauty.  Giives you a chance to get away from the city, enjoy the new moon and experience the unusual.  When the sky fades black enough to spot stars twinkling, you will be able to see mushrooms glow.  There are about 100,000 species of fungi, but only about 80 bioluminesce, or glow in the dark. They emit green light, a result of nearly the same chemical reaction that illuminates a firefly, except the resulting light is constant in the mushroom.  Our mushroom forest has been innoculated with these beautiful fungi and we love sharing this experience with others on those dark nights of summer.
